Level 3 Soil Surveys
Level 3 Soil Surveys are required for septic permitting by the Georgia Department of Public Health this analysis provides identification and mapping of existing soils to give classifications, estimated percolation values (perc rate), depths to seasonal high-water table and bedrock, and trench depth recommendations for conventional septic systems.
Level 4 Soil Surveys
Level 4 Soil Surveys are used to confirm or dispute initial soil classifications, provide more precise depths to seasonal high-water tables and bedrock, and establish loading rates for non-conventional septic systems. Simply put, these in-depth analyses are used to determine a type of septic system that will function adequately in poor soil conditions. Mechanically dug pits and direct measurements of hydraulic conductivity (using a permeameter) are common practices used when conducting Level 4 Surveys.
Residential Sewage & Septic Design
Conventional residential septic systems can be constructed without a detailed design, but non-conventional systems such as drip distribution-type and mound-type systems require engineered designs from a registered Professional Engineer, which RW Higgins, LLC can provide along with consultation and permitting assistance.
Commercial Sewage & Septic Design
For Commercial and Development projects, a sewage flow of 2000 gallons per day mandates engineered plans, specifications, and soil and absorption test data from a registered Professional Engineer, which RW Higgins, LLC can provide along with consultation and permitting assistance.
